Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1956, Zbyszek Maciejewski had a typical european upbringing. The youngest of 4 children in the family. He spent the majority of his early years in Warsaw, Poland.

As a young teenager Zbyszek Maciejewski spent his time in school completing early childhood education before completing an arts course that opened his eyes to a variety of styles.

In his late teens Zbyszek Maciejewski worked as a Paramedic with the Polish Ambulance Service. During this time he met his partner Jadwiga Zabrowska, they married in Warsaw in 1977.

Not long after their marrage the pair had their first child and named him Sebastian. Shortly after his birth the family decided to move to Italy to escape the communist government. Whilst in Italy Jadwiga fell pregnant and gave birth to their second child another son, which they named Jakub.

Whilst in Italy the family were given to opportunity to migrate to Australia. The family arrived in Australia on 1983, they became citizens 2 years later. Zbyszek Maciejewski used his skills as a weilder to support the family.

During the 1970's, Zbyszek Maciejewski started to expess his artistic talent in the form of drawings. This fasination of the arts lead him to develop his Abstract style. Expanding his skills from drawings, he began to express artistic flair with oil paintings on canvas.
